Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor

 

We are seeking a new Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor within our People & Culture team! The salary for this role is a SHADS Level 6 (between $102,546.08 - 107,074.24) + superannuation + $15,990 salary packaging).

We are seeking a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor to join our Health, Safety & Wellbeing team on a fixed term full-time basis. The OHS Advisor is part of the team responsible for providing support to the organisation’s daily operational needs and support strategic project implementation. As our Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor you will provide support and health, safety & wellbeing expertise to all GenWest. ?

Reporting to the Safety & Wellbeing Manager, the responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing best practice advice to leaders and employees regarding WorkSafe Victoria compliance, responsibilities and return to work obligations.
  • Supporting the implementation of Safety, Wellbeing & Quality policies, procedures, education and reports.
  • Providing support to injured employees, through effective and compliant return to work plans.
  • Facilitating and coordinating hazard identification activities, operational risk assessments and audits.
  • Completing incident investigations and assist to identify and implement corrective actions. ·

The ideal candidate will possess:

    • Minimum Cert IV in Health & Safety.
    • 2 + years of relevant experience in a similar role (within related industry).
    • Strong understanding of WorkSafe Victoria laws and regulations, including experience managing workers compensation claims and return to work programs.
    • Exceptional time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
    • Demonstrated experience conducting ergonomic assessments and understanding of principles.
    • Excellent organization and administrative skills with capacity to balance workload and determine priorities.
