Health and Safety Specialist
Are you an HSEC Specialist Professional seeking a long term local temp contract to impart your knowledge and experience whilst contributing to the ongoing safety and wellbeing of its employee and the environment?
This is a part time role offering 30 hours a week and is primarily based in Kwinana with one to two days a week in the Perth office.
Key responsibilities
- Provide timely and accurate advice to ensure compliance with legislative Health and Safety requirements
- Coordinate and contribute to the implementation of activities and initiatives that prevent workplace injury, disease and ill health
- Coordinate and conduct hazard identification and risk assessments
- Develop, deliver and assess effectiveness of training for Safety related topics
- Coordinate, conduct and support Line Management lead workplace incident investigations using the ICAM methodology
- Compile, analyse and report on work injury/illness statistics in accordance with the organisations requirements.
- Contribute to workplace health and safety consultation processes, fostering a culture of engagement and worker participation.
- Schedule and mentor field leadership activities with management and operational teams

What Skill Set Do I Require?
- Minimum Certificate IV or higher Post Graduate qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or similar related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a health and safety role within a operational work environment
- Demonstrated experience in safety leadership, coaching and mentoring
- Knowledge and experience in the application of safety and health legislation
- High level of communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
