 About the role

The Safety and Wellbeing Advisor will provide oversight of health and wellbeing activities across EGW, including ensuring that the organisation is meeting OHS psychosocial legislative compliance. This will include assisting the Manager OHS with the development, implementation and management of a psychological safety risk management system.

The successful candidate will also contribute to transactional and operational support for OHS functions and initiatives across the People, Safety and Culture team. We are looking for the right person who can build effective working relationships, work collaboratively to enhance psychological risk and safety capability, and embed health and wellbeing initiatives across the organisation.

 About you

In this rewarding role you will have the opportunity to utilise your strong knowledge of health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace to lead and coordinate health and wellbeing initiatives, and contribute to development and delivery of in-house training that contributes to staff and leadership awareness and development. As the first point of call for health and wellbeing enquiries, as well as acting as the Return to Work Coordinator for psychological health work absences, we are looking for someone with a unique blend of emotional intelligence and business process acumen to provide positive outcomes for our people.

This full-time ongoing role is substantively based at our Bairnsdale Head Office, however travel across the East Gippsland Region will be required as part of this role.

This role has been classified as per our Enterprise Agreement as a Band 3 position, from $70,081 - $91,032 per annum (plus minimum ATO Superannuation Guarantee Percentage) based on skills, experience and qualifications.
