Senior WHS Business Partner
We are looking for an experienced Senior WHS Business Partner to join our dynamic Safety Team based at our Head Office in Port Adelaide.

Role Overview
The Senior Work, Health and Safety Business Partner leads a small team to develop and implement health, safety and wellbeing programs in line with our WHS and Wellbeing Strategy and legislative requirements. The role focuses on fostering a strong safety culture by providing practical advice, coaching leaders on effective safety leadership practices and leading WHS initiatives and projects, to ensure safe and sustainable operational outcomes, enhanced performance, and managed risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of safety professionals to promote FPH's Safety and Wellbeing vision;
- Provide strategic advice, ensuring compliance with policies and legislation;
- Deliver coaching, training and compliance support to leaders and employees, facilitating engagement in safety programs and implementation of the WHS Management System;
- Partner with stakeholders to proactively identify and manage risks, conduct incident investigations and workplace audits while fostering a fair and just culture;
- Support early intervention strategies and injury case management, collaborating with the Return to Work function to ensure effective and sustainable outcomes for workers and business operations; and
- Collaborate on management system continuous improvement, lead and deliver health and safety initiatives, and prepare reports for our Group Executive team.
About you
Your skills and experience will include;
- Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety or equivalent experience, with completed training in Lead Investigation and Lead Auditing;
- Extensive experience in high-risk environments, including interpreting ISO and AS standards and applying WHS legislation;
- Proven ability to lead teams and develop high performance;
- Experience supporting recovery and return-to-work functions for work-related injuries;
- Strong interpersonal skills fostering collaboration, trust, and openness, coupled with the ability to influence and lead change; and
- Highly developed planning, reporting, and communication skills, including oral and written report writing.
