This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health Safety Environmental & Training Advisor with a background in civil, mining or renewables. Our client is one of Australia’s leading construction company’s specialising within the resource industry. They are currently delivering projects across Australia in water, renewables and oil & gas.  

This National Civil Contractor are seeking a Safety Advisor to join the project safety team across a windfarm project in VIC working closely with the client to ensure their specifications are followed by site staff and subcontractors. With site inductions, training and auditing will be part of your everyday responsibilities, you will implement the OH&S system ensuring that safety standards are kept to an ultimate high. Construction has commenced and this project will run for at minimum of 18 months, and you will continue onto their next project.

You will report to the Senior Safety Lead, working closely with Supervisors, Engineers & Work Crew to ensure the safe delivery of earthworks and services associated on this mining infrastructure upgrade. Previous experience in a similar role across a heavy construction, renewables, mining or engineering is a must. Beneficial to have pipeline experience.

To be successful you must be a safety professional who has a proven track record of ensuring health & safety in similar conditions. Minimum of 5 years in safety and can motivate and actively promote a safe working culture. Minimum of Cert IV Work, Health & Safety, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110 – preferable to have updated TAE40116, Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety beneficial, not essential. Desirable to have Lead Auditor OHS Management Systems.
