Work Health & Safety Injury Management Advisor, Clerk 7/8

  • Employment: Ongoing Full-Time (35 hours per week)
  • Location: Parramatta (close to riverside cafes)
  • Clerk Grade 7/8, Base Salary ($97,152 – $107,541), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

In this newly created role in our People and Culture team, you will be responsible for delivering a range of Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Injury Management services to support our people who are often on the front line supporting the most vulnerable members of our community.

We have approximately 600 employees, and in this busy and varied role you will be case managing all of our workers compensation and non-work related injuries and illness, to help our injured employees to return to work as soon as possible in a safe and supportive environment. You will also be delivering a range of WHS initiatives to proactively support the health and wellbeing of our staff and reduce the risk of injury and workplace incidents.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience working in a professional health and safety environment
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of WHS related legislation and applicable Codes of Practice and Standards

About you

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and understanding of WHS and Injury Management.  You will have effective communication skills with an ability to engage and consult across the business as well as with external stakeholders. You will be highly motivated, organised and logical with an ability to think outside the box to improve process and systems, to meet WHS obligations, and build on our organisational culture that  supports our employees.
