About The Role

As a Senior Safety Adviser for Major Road Projects Victoria you will be working on some high priority projects as part of Victoria's Big Build. MRPV is delivering the biggest investment in regional and suburban roads in Victoria's history - these projects are worth getting excited about! We have over 20 projects, all at varying stages of delivery. 

We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Safety Adviser based at our Essendon Fields office with travel required to local construction sites.

Are you ready to utilise your experience in major construction and engineering projects?  In this role, you will be delivering a range of critical functions to both the Safety and Project Delivery teams within MRPV. You will responsible for developing and leading innovative initiatives that will achieve a safe working environment, both on and off project sites.

The role reports to the Area Safety Manager but will also have secondary reporting lines into project delivery team(s) as the organisation operates on a matrix structure.

About You

We are looking for someone who is excited to drive, promote and lead a safe and positive work culture. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an exceptional working knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Regulations and an ability to anticipate outcomes of safety related occurrences and implement mitigation strategies.

You will be expected to build and maintain strong working relationships with the MRPV project delivery teams and stakeholders across all sectors of government and industry. You will be required to have strong organisational skills with the ability to work to tight and often conflicting deadlines.

It is key you have experience in managing safety requirements on major construction or engineering projects.
