Health & Safety Advisor 

Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, you will be part of a fast paced and passionate environment focusing on supporting critical day-to-day operations and delivering on key projects. This full-time role is key to the Followmont network and would suit a motivated and enthusiastic professional with demonstrated problem solving and time management skills. An overall passion towards the service we provide our customers and the promotion of unity within in our people is a must.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver consistent contemporary safety initiatives to all areas of the business
  • Ensure communication and compliance with all workplace policies, procedures and safety requirements
  • Take part in the research and development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), focusing on documenting operational tasks with all safety considerations identified
  • Coordinate and oversee regular emergency response training and annual ‘Evacuation’ exercises throughout the company
  • Oversee analysis of monthly safety audits and provide guidance to Depot Managers to ensure continual improvement is achieved
  • Provided weekly & monthly progress reports to the Health & Safety Manager regarding ongoing compliance, work-cover claims management and return to work outcomes

Role Requirements:

  • Hold a certificate IV health & safety with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience in an active rehabilitation and return to work coordination position
  • Robust working knowledge of the various workers compensation and safety legislation
  • Strong administration skill and proven effectiveness using Microsoft suite
  • A background in transport and logistics is desirable
