The Manager of People and Safety Services works closely in a team of five Managers across NSW to ensure effective People and Safety Services for all TAFE NSW staff.

The Manager of People and Safety Services is responsible for the ongoing management of teams that execute payroll, end-to-end recruitment and people services activities ensuring that all HR systems issues are addressed and that there is compliance to all recruitment processes. The Manager People and Safety Services supports the implementation of the People and Safety Services strategy and operating model encompassing significant transformation and growth of HR transactional service delivery to the region’s employees.

Reporting to the People and Safety Services Operations Manager, this position:

  • Leads multiple teams of payroll and recruitment services staff in the delivery of accurate and timely payroll, recruitment and employee services activities

  • Identifies areas of risk and improvement in transactional processes and delivery to assess their quality, effectiveness and sustainability for future business needs

  • Ensures high quality advice and query resolution to staff and management on payroll, employment conditions and recruitment related issues continues to be provided

  • Manages and develops a high performance team, aligned to the core values of integrity, collaboration, excellence and a customer first attitude, through effective leadership, support and feedback

If you have…

  • Extensive experience in Payroll, Recruitment. Shared Services or a Contact Centre function

  • Strong leadership skills in a high volume environment

  • Experience in process improvement

  • Familiar with metrics based decision making
