Where you come in:

In this part-time permanent (3 days per week) position, based in Carlton, you will collaborate with the Safety & Security Manager to build and support a positive wellbeing culture.  You will proactively manage and mitigate organisational risk through effective return to work (RTW) and case management whilst also creating and implementing Injury, Illness and Wellbeing initiatives.  You will be part of the Risk Support Team and report to the Head of Risk Support.

You will make an impact by:

  • Effectively case managing all Workers Compensation and Injury Management activities nationally
  • Providing effective management of RTW plans
  • Developing and tailoring initiatives that support a positive wellbeing culture
  • Proactively managing all stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration achieves successful and timely results
  • Developing, implementing and monitoring relevant policies and procedures
  • Coaching and supporting people managers in processes regarding injury/illness and return to work management

…you will have an empathic and people-centric approach that enables calmness in highly emotive scenarios.  This calmness coupled with strong influencing skills see you both manage conflict and negotiate beneficial outcomes for all stakeholders.  Short time-frames are often, and you will call on your organisation, administration and analysis skills to meet deadlines. Working collaboratively with the team, you are flexibly to provide ranging support to achieve success.

This role requires:

  • Demonstrated RTW and Case Management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in managing injury and illness claims, including complex claims
  • Understanding of, and ability to apply relevant legislation nationally
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and / or relevant work experience
  • Broad scope of experience across a variety of case scenarios including mental health, emotional resilience, physical health & injury and safety
