As our OH&S Coordinator you will work with our teams to drive a continuous improvement safety culture within the Nature Parks. You will maintain effective safety management systems to meet legislative requirements and compliance.

 Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and updating the Nature Parks Safety Management System, ensuring it complies with the required legislation
  • Developing and managing workplace audit program
  • Developing and managing OH&S training plan
  • Providing assistance and coaching to managers and supervisor on safe work procedures & development of safe work procedures
  • Managing the injury management system and investigations process
  • Managing workers compensation claims and return to work programs
  • Managing emergency planning process and ensure compliance
  • Leading the OH&S committee to support continuous improvement in the organisations safety culture.

 As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in OH&S or similar discipline
  • Current Level 1 First Aid Certificate
  • Victorian manual drivers licence
  • Substantial knowledge of OH&S and related legislation.
  • Significant relevant experience undertaking occupational health and safety responsibilities across an organisation
  • Experience with Risk Management Systems (Risk Cloud) or other similar reporting system
  • Proven experience in managing Workcover claims and Return to Work Coordination
  • Excellent written communication and report writing skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills required for extensive consultation with management and staff
  • Exceptional presentation and workplace training skills

This position is full time for 3 year contrat period.
