  • $73,221 to $80,483 per annum (HEO 6)

The Human Resource Services (HRS) Directorate provides a range of services across the University such as Recruitment, Workplace Relations, Health and Safety, Payroll, Benefits and Support, Organisational Development, and Workforce planning. As part of our ongoing commitment to provide excellent human resource services across the University, the Directorate is seeking to appoint a Health and Safety Officer to be part of our dynamic team.

About the role

Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, the Health and Safety Officer actively engages with University stakeholders to provide practical advice and operational expertise in the management of occupational safety and health, and risk management activities.  The Health and Safety Officer is responsible for the Safety and Incident Reporting System.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in the role you will be an experienced professional who has relevant qualifications or demonstrated experience in workplace health and safety management and safety systems development.  Advanced computer skills and an understanding of workplace health and safety software programs are essential.  You will have high level communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to use initiative, work independently and contribute as part of a team.
