What you'll be doing

This role will lead the Continuous Improvement & Innovation team within the HealthShare NSW Business Performance Directorate, by providing continuous improvement support and advice to the business and to lead the development of an innovation model for the operational teams within HealthShare NSW.


You will be asked to complete psychometric assessment (e.g. personality and cognitive abilities assessments) in the recruitment process for this position.

  • Extensive experience and an outstanding record of achievement in Continuous Improvement and Innovation initiatives in a large and complex service environment. This includes expert knowledge and demonstrated achievement in applying appropriate continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, Prince 2 etc.) and applying appropriate innovation frameworks.
  • Exceptional analytical skills including the ability to analyse and interpret complex information from numerous sources, prepare and present analysis and reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused solutions.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with a capacity to prioritise, multi-task, achieve business goals, perform and always work with a customer focused approach.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills with extensive experience engaging and influencing key stakeholders and customers to influence and achieve optimal business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated achievement in successfully leading teams - managing and coaching managers; building capability; meeting performance goals; and always fostering, and maintaining, a customer focused work culture.
  • Proven achievement in the development and successful implementation of strategic initiatives, including the capability to plan, manage change, strategically improve performance and manage multiple projects.
  • Capacity and willingness, including current NSW driver’s license, to travel to HealthShare NSW business and service locations throughout NSW, which may include overnight stay in regional / remote areas.
