Senior HSE Business Partner 

At Tip Top our Number One priority is Safety, we are one of Australia's leading brand of quality bread and bakery products, producing a diverse range of wholesome sliced bread, gourmet bread, muffins, crumpets, bakery snacks and cakes, as well as supplying leading quick service restaurants and the commercial food service channel.  Iconic brands include Tip Top, Tip Top The One, Bürgen, Golden and Abbott's Village Bakery in Australia, and Tip Top Bakery SuperSoft, Big Ben and Ploughman's Bakery in New Zealand. 

We are currently seeking to appoint a passionate and driven Senior HSE Business Partner for a 12 month maternity leave contract to be based in our North Ryde office.

Reporting to the Head of Field Sales, the Senior HSE Business Partner facilitates the site's HSE initiatives for Field Sales.

The role is responsible for the ongoing development and review of HSE targets and objectives including roles and responsibilities and clearly articulating these through consultation with various stakeholder groups. This role must ensure Field Sales is provided with technical and practical HSE advice and the ongoing review and development of HSE and operational employees.

Reporting directly to the Head of Field Sales, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure all HSE State Regulations are complied with nationally, supporting the self-insurance initiative through regular audits and support to the Sales leadership team to close out corrective actions, partnering and  assisting site leadership teams in preparing for audits; provide recommendations and drive ownership of action plans;
  • Ensure HSE data is accurately entered into relevant databases in a timely manner and collected on a monthly basis and regularly analyse/draw insight to detect trends and review effectiveness of controls for corrective actions implemented
  • Deliver the successful implementation of the Safety for Everyone, Everyday program to Sales Personnel nationally, whilst developing and implementing HSE documentation, other targeted risk reduction initiatives and facilitating training programs.
  • Conduct regular analysis against targets in areas of premium performance, claims and injury management - identifying blockers, opportunities and other influencing factors, with recommendations for Sales leaders to address patterns and performance against targets

The successful applicant for this role will possess the following:

  • Diploma in Health and Safety and at least 5 years' experience within a HSE Environment
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills with a Certificate in Workplace Assessment and Training 
  • Advanced understanding  of safety data trends and providing effective advice on data analytics
  • Ability to interpret legislation, regulations and guidelines and make practical and commercial recommendations to Field Sales  are critical to adding value in the role
