It’s an exciting time to join our business as we embark on a new chapter, where our People & Culture team take centre stage with the creation of a new role – Health, Safety & Wellbeing Partner.  As Health, Safety & Wellbeing Partner, you will provide support, advice and assistance to the wellbeing strategies and initiatives across the organisation. The role aims to proactively promote a culture of safety and wellbeing as a key benefit and value proposition for exisitng and potential employees. 

YOUR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop and support the implementation of best practice wellbeing and mental health models and programs
  • Be a reliable subject matter expert on all health and wellbeing matters
  • Use data to drive decision making and enable insight, awareness and action
  • Provide reporting on relevant WHS data and performance metrics
  • Co-create WHS training and education for employees and business leaders in collaboration with our Learning and Development team
  • Work closely with key stakeholders including P&C Business Partners and people leaders to provide support and technical guidance to the business and ensure programs are effectively implemented and maintained
  • Be responsible for workers compensation, return to work and case management
  • Develop return to work programs for both work and non-work-related injuries and illnesses
  • Establish and manage relationship with insurers, external service providers, medical practitioners

ABOUT YOU

  • Demonstrated generalist experience in health, safety and wellbeing in an advisory/partnering role
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills with individuals and larger groups– in a style which is facilitative and collaborative
  • Demonstrated experience planning and implementing multiple programs
  • Current up-to-date knowledge of health and safety legislation, codes of practice, Australia standards, risk management, ergonomics, safety management systems & workers compensation
  • Practical experience in the development and delivery of OHS hazards and risk mitigation strategies
  • Authentic and professional approach with exceptional stakeholder management skills 
  • Intellectual curiosity and the desire the deliver positive commercial outcomes
