Darebin Council is looking for a passionate, motivated, customer focused professional to join our team, promote and instill a culture of safety, and deliver on our OH&S goals.

The successful person will be required to apply their knowledge and expertise to services across Council and ensure effective management of Council’s OH&S system, develop strategies to effectively champion a culture of safety, health and wellbeing, and ensure a systems approach to continuous improvement of Council’s Safety Management System.

The successful applicant will have a proven background in health and safety, be a collaborative team member, with a willingness to get out in the business and make a difference. You will be developing and implementing policy, providing technical advice, and promoting positive safety behaviours.

Ideally you will have a tertiary qualification in Health and Safety, or related discipline, however a lesser qualification with significant experience will also be considered.

Although you will be a specialist in safety, you will have the opportunity to work in a large team with other safety and HR professionals, providing opportunities for learning, collaboration and continued professional development.

Don’t miss this great opportunity, apply now and demonstrate why you are the person we are looking for.
