An exciting opportunity exists to join the Community Wellbeing Team as the Community Safety Officer.
The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating a wide range of programs that aim to reduce crime and increase perceptions of safety in the Darebin community.

You will be member of a dynamic and supportive team and will work closely with the community, partner agencies and other Council departments on a range of crime prevention and community safety initiatives.

With tertiary qualifications in health promotion, criminal justice, community development or sociology or a related discipline, you will also have an understanding of the social determinants relating to crime, and experience in community development.

If you have strong project implementation experience, excellent stakeholder management skills and an understanding of best practice approaches to improving safety and preventing crime we would love to hear from you.
