Change Manager

 

  • $128,755.00 per annum + superannuation
  • Full Time Ongoing Position
  • Geelong based – Hybrid working model

Purpose

The Enterprise Change Management Practice (ECMP) is a key enabler of WorkSafe’s strategic objectives. The ECMP’s role is to prepare, equip and support individuals to successfully adopt changes that contribute to achieving WorkSafe’s strategic objectives.

The Change Manager role is responsible for the development and implementation of effective change management plans and interventions, to maximise adoption and minimise resistance to strategic and operational change initiatives.

This role leads change delivery across a project, program or stream, helping to ensure that changes driven by technology, processes, operating model, corporate strategy and government directives are successfully integrated enterprise wide.

Key accountabilities

  • Support the creation of change management plans so that change management activities are identified, scheduled and managed across the lifecycle of a project in collaboration with change analysts so that employee adoption is maximised and people experience is optimised.
  • Create and deliver Change Impact Assessments with key change stakeholders guided by the Portfolio Change Manager and Senior Change Managers to inform strategies and change planning. Document change impact assessment outcomes to determine the scale of change and associated business readiness activities required for successful change implementation.
  • Develop and execute fit-for-purpose change activities and artefacts for small to medium projects. This includes case for change, change impact assessment, stakeholder analysis, training needs analysis, communications plan, business readiness assessment, training plan, transition plan, and change effectiveness measurement.
  • Actively consult and engage with sponsors and Business Unit leaders to identify and mitigate potential people risks for change.

About you

This is an exciting role and would suit someone with a strong track record of Change Management within a large, complex transformation program looking for their next opportunity

You’re a natural problem solver who takes initiative with strong attention to detail and analytical skills. You have excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to juggle multiple balls at the one time, working well under pressure and meeting deadlines.

Additionally, you will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated experience and success in leading and implementing various change projects within a complex environment, delivering on organisational objectives and building employee commitment and adoption through fit-for-purpose change plans.
  • Experienced in the development and implementation of change strategies and plans that address program objectives.
  • Proven ability to engage with, lead and influence stakeholders and multi-disciplinary team members within a complex environment to deliver effective outcomes.
  • Demonstrated capacity to exercise sound judgement, discretion and awareness in dealing with stakeholders representing diverse interests and agendas.
  • Experience applying change models and tools in complex organisations, combined with strong analytical, critical thinking, research and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to establish credibility quickly and gain a reputation as a trusted advisor to leaders, specialists and business team members alike.
  • Ability to lead analysts while also being able to work autonomously with limited guidance in project environments, reporting back as required necessary.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as Change Management, Human Resources, Organisational Development, Business or Psychology.
  • Change Management Certification (Prosci preferred).
