Injury Management Specialist

As an Injury Management Specialist, you will use your specialist skills and expertise in the field of personal injury management to provide holistic person centred advice. You will assist the Recovery & Support Team to promote appropriate injury management and recovery outcomes relating to Worker’s Compensation claims in a person centred way.

This position is located in the Geelong office at 1 Malop Street, however if you require flexible working arrangements we would encourage you to inform us.

Key Accountabilities

You will collaborate with Recovery & Support team and treating medical professionals to ensure an injured worker is provided with evidence-based, best practice treatment and rehabilitation advice. More specifically the Injury Management Specialist will:

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholder to identify opportunities to develop and embed person centred strategies that support a focus on injured worker experience and improving outcomes for injured workers.
  • Proactively advise, coach and share expertise to build and develop personal injury knowledge within the Recovery & Support
  • Provide injury management subject matter expertise in the review of complex medical requests arising from Worker’s Compensation claims

About you

You have a minimum 2 years demonstrated experience in a personal injury, disability or health industry. More specifically you have:

  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating improved outcomes for clients
  • Experience in supporting people who have complex needs
  • Ability to build rapport and empathy with injured workers and their support networks
  • Knowledge and understanding of injury management and rehabilitation in a compensable setting

Qualifications

  • A degree or tertiary qualification in an Allied Health field e.g. (Occupational Therapy / Psychology / Nursing / Social Work / Physiotherapy / Rehabilitation Counselling) is desirable
