Advisor - Silica, Health Assessment Team

About the role

The Silica Advisor provides tailored and holistic support for workers to enable a prevention led and customer centric service in the implementation and delivery of a critical Health Screening project for the organisation. This role will also be responsible for:

  • Improving worker experiences during their interaction with WorkSafe
  • Ensuring workers are supported to access the health assessment services and that appropriate actions are taken to address their needs
  • Collaborating and building positive relationships with relevant stakeholders, service providers and practitioners
  • Empowering workers to make positive choices to support their wellbeing through the screening process
  • Providing guidance to workers to assist in choosing the appropriate service providers within the health screening program
  • Regularly make contact with workers throughout the health screening process to review their physical and psychological well-being and identify and report any known risks

About you

You are passionate about delivering outstanding customer service. You have highly developed communication and organisation skills. You are empathetic to the needs of your clients and have the capability to navigate your way through emotionally charged conversations. You will also possess:

  • Excellent interpersonal and formal communication skills - written and verbal; with the ability to interact at all levels
  • Proven ability in managing conflict resolution and emotive situations
  • Strong experience and confident in the use of various digital devices, technologies and platforms
  • Disciplined in your approach to data management, with ability to protect sensitive and confidential material
  • Ability to speak Vietnamese, Mandarin or Italian would be advantageous but not essential
