About the role

As a Recovery and RTW Specialist, you will use your specialist skills and expertise in the field of personal injury management to provide guidance, support and development to the Claims & Recovery Support division to promote appropriate recovery and return to work outcomes relating to the injured workers supported by our division.

You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, providing subject matter expertise to identify opportunities to develop and embed strategies that support a focus on injured worker experience and improving outcomes for injured workers.

You will collaborate with Recovery & Support Coordinators and treating health professionals to ensure an injured worker is provided with evidence-based, best practice treatment and rehabilitation advice as it relates to their workplace injury or illness.

About you

You are a team player with demonstrated experience in either personal injury, disability or health industry, paired with experience in facilitating improved outcomes for clients. You have a strong understanding of how to build rapport and develop recovery plan’s with injured workers and their support networks, and highly developed skills in coaching, influencing and relationship building.

You will play a critical role in providing advice and building the capability of our Recovery and Support Advisors and Coordinators.

Additionally, you will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Experience supporting people who have complex needs
  • Knowledge and understanding of injury management and rehabilitation in a compensable setting
  • High level of professional resilience
  • A growth mindset, open to coaching and developmental feedback
  • Capability to develop and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Effective and influential communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Knowledge of WorkSafe and its stakeholder landscape

Qualifications

A degree or tertiary qualification in an Allied Health field e.g. (Occupational Therapy / Nursing / Physiotherapy / Rehabilitation Counselling) is desirable
