Project Manager, People & Culture

WorkSafe is relocating its headquarters to Geelong by 2018. This position will be based in the Geelong office from 2018.  Prior to this date, this role will be based at 222 Exhibition Street.

About the role

As the Project Manager for People & Culture you will lead a team to develop and deliver major strategic projects in collaboration with the People & Culture Division that will deliver improvement in work practices of internal stakeholders. You will be accountable for high quality planning, analysis and cost / benefit / resource estimations to support successful strategy delivery.

Develop and execute a project plan for the implementation of a new enterprise agreement, including a new classification framework and updated policies.

Develop, maintain and utilise relationships with key Government Agencies, including, Department of Treasury & Finance (DTF); Workforce Victoria and Victorian Public Sector Commission (VPSC).

About you

You will possess an ability to engage with a range of service providers and stakeholders, to foster productive working relationships, and will have prior experience in the development and delivery of key programmes within complex operating environments. You will display highly developed organisational skills which will ensure critical deadlines are met within established timeframes, and incorporate an ability to adapt and respond to changes in priorities.

  • Tertiary qualification in project management, human resources, or similar
  • Experience delivering major Continuous or Business Improvement Projects and Program
  • Significant experience in managing the development of complex multi-faceted projects from strategic planning through to detailed design and implementation
  • Proven ability to think strategically and lead project proposal discussion and development
  • Knowledge of project management methodology
  • Ability to lead, plan and undertake stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in a team environment.
