Health & Safety Officer 

Reporting to the Senior Health & Safety Business Partner - Motoring, you will provide support, consultation, advice and recommendations to our Motoring operations to maintain and improve health and safety.

What will you be doing?

Delivering Health & Safety services within the Motoring operations, your tasks include:

  • Investigate injuries and Health and Safety incidents and provide advice regarding incident management, including corrective and preventative measures
  • Providing advice and supporting our health and safety committees and representatives across our business units
  • Conducting risk assessments to manage hazards and risks
  • Conducting workplace inspections
  • Ensuring RAC maintains our Worksafe Platinum certification by collaborating with Motoring Leaders to monitor and implement any actions from the Worksafe Plan audit

This position is offered on a full time, permanent basis.

What are we looking for in you?

To be successful in this role you have demonstrated experience in a similar capacity within a medium to large scale environment.

In addition to this we require:

  • A collaborative, solution focused mindset to drive a high level of accountability of Health & Safety
  • Extensive experience driving a positive safety culture where people clearly demonstrate safe behaviours
  • Working knowledge of existing West Australian laws and regulations governing Health & Safety matters
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety
  • Sound software skills such as MS Office Suite and H&S incident management applications
  • Current First Aid qualification (HLTAID003) is desirable
