We are currently looking for a self-motivated and passionate WHS Coordinator that can administer the company WHS management system within a high-performing and dynamic team.
About the role:
This full-time role is based in the Huon Valley and will have you working across both our Huon Valley Hatchery and Russell Falls hatchery.
Reporting to the WHS Manager, you will be working closely with an amazing team of people to assist with WHS implementation and compliance. This role is well suited to a person with a positive attitude and a solution focused communication style. A typical day could include, but is not limited to, the timely reporting of incidents, incident investigations, hazard identification, risk assessment and various forms of consultation.
To be successful in this role you will be interested in WHS, business administration and aquaculture. Experience in aquaculture marine operations or a similar field is desirable but not essential.
- Cert IV in WHS is essential;
- Competent using computers, including Microsoft Office;
- Understanding of WHS hazard identification, risk assessment and control;
- Excellent communication, facilitation and organisational skills;
- Desire to influence others by walking-the-talk and being solutions-focused; and
- Current Drivers licence.
