The Role

The Health and Safety Advisor is to work closely with the HS Business Partner to provide workplace health and safety advice, guidance and assurance to the business including; systems implementation, legal and regulatory compliance and HSW project development and deployment.

Here are the key things you will do to 'bring ideas to life'

  • Conduct site audits, facilitate risk mitigation planning and provide advice and assurance to project sites
  • Consult and provide advice on technical HS advice to projects and managers
  • Support development and delivery of HS initiatives/programs in line with Aurecon Strategy
  • First point of contact for H&S enquiries whilst supporting team members working in the field, and injury management
  • Assist HS BP with responding to business needs to ensure safe outcomes for our people and our business

What we are looking for

  • Solid experience within a similar role and recognised HSE qualifications with a highly engaging and innovative outlook to safety
  • Demonstrated experience with HS Risk management documentation review, development, communication, and implementation.
  • Strong technical background, including knowledge of applicable legislation, acts, regulations, codes of practice and standards
  • Experience in embedding incident investigation/analysis, risk assessments and both preventative and corrective actions
  • Auditing experience/qualifications is a bonus
