The Role

We are looking for a Quality Specialist to join a close-knit team to maintain, develop, and oversee all the site's Quality related systems and procedures.

Our Koroit site manufactures a range of dairy products including skimmed and full cream milk powders, buttermilk powders, milk protein concentrate, lactoferrin powder, retail milk powders, anhydrous milk fat, liquid cream and butter. The site produces a staggering 35 tones of lactoferrin extract annually!

Please note that this position is a 12-month fixed-term parental leave cover.

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with the production team members and senior management to ensure any quality concerns are addressed, corrective and preventative actions are implemented
  • Aligning to Bega's documents & certification standards
  • Improving and implementing the site Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Conduct reporting and data analysis
  • Managing and coordinating internal and external audits and providing solutions to gaps where required

About you

  • Qualification in Food Science or a similar discipline
  • Passion for Food Safety
  • Solid background in risk assessment and root cause analysis activities relating to Food Safety and Quality
  • Demonstrated experience with Quality Management System audits
  • Strong ability to collaborate and influence to solve complex problems
  • Working knowledge of HACCP & GMP will be highly regarded.
