WHS Business Partner

An award winning and globally recognised producer of Atlantic salmon and Ocean Trout, Huon Aquaculture Company Pty Ltd. supplies upwards of 36,000 tonnes of premium fresh produce annually and is Australia’s only RSPCA Approved seafood producer.

Focusing on the safety of the Marine Operations Division at our Hideaway Bay Site, utilise your in-depth experience as a WHS Business Partner to execute and sustain Health and Safety initiatives that will ensure the ongoing efficiency of our WHS Systems.


Reporting to the WHS manager, the WHS Business Partner will:

  • Conduct on-site safety inspections, risk assessments and audits
  • Support and engage team members in initiatives, activities and programs promoting a Safe working environment
  • Coordinate the investigation and assessment to ensure all accident, injury and near misses are recorded and resolved appropriately
  • Liaise and communicate with relevant stakeholders of all levels
  • Assist with the development of Standard Operating Procedures

This role will be carried out on a 5/2 roster (Monday to Friday) and will be located at one of our Southern Operational Sites.


  • Effective communication and the ability to liaise with stakeholders and build valuable partnerships
  • Experience developing and contributing to policy / procedure development, including consultation
  • Consolidated working knowledge of incident reporting and investigation, Safety management systems, system audits and compliance programs
  • Capable of analysing, presenting, and communicating information
  • Demonstrated ability to manage Projects and Contractors from a Health and Safety perspective


  • Formal qualification in WH&S or a related discipline or significant relevant experience
  • Current Drivers License

Remuneration for this role is dependent on knowledge and/or experience and comprises of a competitive salary and superannuation
