WorkCoverSA has launched the 2013 Recovery and Return to Work Awards to celebrate achievements and workers and those who assist them to recover and return to work following a workplace injury.

WorkCoverSA Chief Executive Officer, Greg McCarthy, said the Awards acknowledge the hard work and dedication of injured workers and those who support them during their recovery journey to reach their return to work goals.

“The journey back to work after an injury can be a long and challenging one for the worker, their family and friends,” Mr McCarthy said.

“The Recovery and Return to Work Awards recognises that with a positive approach and the right support, injured workers can recover and successfully return to work which is a positive outcome for everyone,” he said.

Mr McCarthy said the winners from last year spoke about their journey, the many obstacles and paths they faced in their recovery process, which led to this year’s theme, “Experience their journey”.

“The courage of nominees, finalists and winners to share their personal stories is inspirational for others striving for better remain at and return to work outcomes,” Mr McCarthy said.
