A new federal scheme has been launched to assist truck driver allocators, supervisors and line managers.

Comcare says its new Driving Health Allocator Training Program (DHAT) has been created to increase awareness and understanding within the transport industry about factors they can influence to support and improve the health and wellbeing of truck drivers.

The free and confidential online program takes 20 minutes to complete, including questions about work in the trucking industry and factors impacting truck driver health.

Upon completion, free downloadable resources are provided, which details ways to support and improve the health and wellbeing of drivers

The scheme was developed as part of an ongoing partnership with Driving Health; a research team led by Monash University.

The DHAT scheme is accessible here.
